At HLS we have only the best, highly qualified technicians and contractors working on all of our projects throughout the UK.
We specialise in high rise and high level buildings, using tested industrial rope access techniques to reach parts of your building that are not usually easily accessible
We believe that our industrial abseiling technique is the most cost-effective method of undertaking building maintenance at height and that our clients can benefit from the costs we save, as well as the efficiency with which we work. Because our equipment takes up minimal space, you can also be assured that we will cause minimum disturbance to the client, allowing them to carry on their day-to-day business.
Health and safety is of paramount importance to HLS and all of our staff are fully insured by ourselves, giving you, our clients, peace of mind. All are fully trained to current standards and carry CCNSG or CSCS cards, as well as up-to-date IRATA certificates with them at all times.
HLS has the advantage of being able to provide access at a fraction of the cost of more traditional forms of access. Because of the versatility of the access techniques and equipment we use there are no places on a building / structure that cannot be accessed.
Due to the ease of set up it is usually possible to de-rig the access system at the end of a shift, removing the security issues associated with a scaffold.
Jobs that have been put on a “back seat” because they are too expensive or too disruptive are now possible of being completed on time and within budget.
HLS can offer the following Structural Maintenance services:
The rope access technique is most useful where inspection services are required. Most areas of a structure can be efficiently reached and inspected at close range (generally within touching distance) by combinations of ascent / descent and tensioned rope traversing. This means that vertical drops of a structure such as a building façade, or spandrel walls of a bridge can be inspected, as well as any cantilevered sections of the building, or the arch barrels of a bridge.
Many instances of building maintenance (particularly in ageing buildings) occur in the most inconvenient of places, away from fixed access systems, ladders or walkways. Rope access offers a means of accessing and repairing these hard to reach items in a cost effective manner, with minimal disruption to building users.
Structural maintenance is undertaken on buildings throughout the UK, on buildings old and new in locations such as London, Milton Keynes and Lancaster.
